Puppies from puppy mills often lack essential care and socialization. This can lead to health and behavioral problems. Check the events page for the current agenda.<\/p>\n<p class=\"s5\"><strong><span class=\"s4\">Choosing a puppy: mutual responsibility and respect for choices<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"s7 translation-block\">Buying a puppy isn't a simple transaction. It's the beginning of a long-term relationship with the dog, and often with the breeder as well. That's why it's important that there's a good connection between both parties. A good match is built on mutual trust, openness, and careful consideration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"s7 translation-block\">Breeders will provide you with extensive information about the breed, the parents, and their breeding philosophy. They will also ask critical questions about your situation, experience, and expectations. This isn't to reject you, but to ensure their puppy ends up with someone who understands and can guide it properly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"s7 translation-block\">Just as you, as a buyer, have the right to look elsewhere if something doesn't feel right, the breeder also has the right to decide not to sell a puppy to you. You have a responsibility to take this information seriously and ask questions. This way, you can make a well-informed decision together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s16\"><strong><span class=\"s14\">Health and breeding policy: how does it work at the NBTC?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"s7 translation-block\">Breeders affiliated with the Dutch Bull Terrier Club do their utmost to produce healthy, stable puppies. But as with every breed, there is no 100% guarantee of health.<\/p>\n<p class=\"s7\"><span class=\"s6\">At the NBTC, we believe our breeders make their own choices with the best intentions. The sum of these individual decisions contributes to the future and quality of the breed. Therefore, our breeders always decide for themselves which dogs they breed.
